NSS, RED CROSS, Rovers & Rangers and Social Outreach Committee

The Social Outreach Committee organizes several programs including: voluntary blood donation camps, special camps for community service, outreach programmers, medical checkups, celebration of national festivals, national youth week programs, intercollegiate conventions for social responsibility of the youth, environmental cycle rallies, campaigns, walkathons and rallies thus a link between campus and community.

Objective: “To inspire, encourage and initiate at all times all forms of humanitarian activities so that human suffering can be minimized and even prevented and thus contribute to creating more congenial climate for peace.”

Youth Red Cross (YRC): Youth Red Cross unit has always played a proactive role in spreading medical and health consciousness among our students and the general public. The unit conducts a blood donation campaign every year to reiterate its core belief that donating blood is tantamount to giving life. The YRC also conducts awareness camps like First Aid camp, Road safety awareness camp the benefit of our students as well as the staff. It conducts medical check-up camps for staff and students. The motto of the Youth Red Cross is “Serve for Humanity”

YRC Members Pledge: I Pledge myself to care my own health and that of others, to help the risk and suffering specially children and to look upon the youth all over the world as my friends.

National Service Scheme (NSS): NSS is a scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports which is aims at the personality development of students. The National Service Scheme was launched in 1969 to give a new dimension to the higher education system and to guide students towards community service while they are still studying in an educational institute. NSS is a reflection of Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals which inspire the youth to participate in social upliftment and in tasks of national development. The scheme extends to all states & Universities in the country. “Not Me But You” is the motto of NSS.
NSS aims at arousing social consciousness of the youth with an overall objective of personality development of the students through community service.

Rover / Ranger: The mission of Rover & Ranger (Scouting) is to contribute to the education of young people through a value-based system, which includes the principles of “Be Prepared” and “Do a Good Deed Daily”. This system helps build a better world where people are sensitive to society and play a constructive role. The motto of Rover & Ranger (Scouting) is “Service towards Society – Own Path of Personal Growth……”

There are several objectives of this organization:

  • Motivating students in AIBM to make positive contributions to their families, schools, and institutions, providing assistance to society without any self-interest.
  • Providing an ideal platform for students of all age groups to engage in social welfare activities alongside their studies through various camps.
  • Developing multi-dimensional skills in students, which encourages them to work confidently in all situations.
